"The executor of the attack on the Indonesian police in Jakarta is an ISIS fighter," said the ISIS statement through Amaq news agency quoted by Reuters on Friday (5/26/2017).Bomb attacks at the terminal Kampung Melayu, East Jakarta occurred on Wednesday (24/5/2017) at 21:00 pm and 21:05 pm. The explosion caused three people who were members of the police force to die.
Two suicide bombers were also killed in the blast. While 11 others were injured and still in care.
Previously, the police suspected the bombing at the Kampung Melayu terminal linked to the Jamaah Anshar Daulah network (JAD). It is seen from the attack pattern.
"It is suspected to see the pattern, see the type of bomb fragments that, the content and the component is the same as the ISIS terror group that has been doing the action in Indonesia," said Head of Public Information Police Headquarters Kombes Martinus Sitompul, at Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Thursday (25/5/2017).
He said the bomb attack mode targeting members of the police force was a similar pattern to the JAD network.
"It's almost the same pattern and mode, the attack is aimed at the police," said Martinus.
